Total Recall Records

skaterHere you'll find the archived releases of our Total Recall imprint (2003-2006). What can I say about Total Recall? Inconsistent with our release schedule and with the style of tunes released on it. Officially Total Recall was our attempt at an arts collective project to act as a platform for bedroom producers, as well as encouraging others to start up their own labels by offering advice and support. Part of the splurge that got dubbed hardcore breaks, we got to the stage of negotiating worldwide distribution on behalf of a group of thirty or so bedroom labels with legendary Drum and Bass distributors Nu Urban (responsible for launching the likes of Adam F and Andy C). It all then fell apart and they decided to develop rave breaks and J-Tek genres with artists they knew instead.

Started of as a vinyl label for the first 3 releases (some copies still for sale check the discogs link below and look for username: dlb to purchase copies). Later releases moved to a digital format due to dwindling sales at the time.

Probably my favourite release out of all of them. 2 absolute banging techno tracks here. Sound absolutely devastating on a big sound system.

1. Banging on Acid (dlb's Banged up mix) - An amalgamation of a number of classics techno and hardcore tracks, spot the samples. Killer track.

2. Shogun (Mashed potato mix) - One of the darkest Electric Tribe tracks to date. Pounding techno with an unusual sample from the classic Shoguns Assasin film.
